#PHXMovies CHANNEL RULES



1. No FTPs - No FTPs are permitted in #PHXMovies. The file transfer process sometimes corrupts nAVI. Running or advertising an FTP will result in a kick and/or ban from #PHXMovies

2. No Trading - Trading is not permitted in #PHXMovies. All movies are provided for free and are to be distributed freely. Trading will result in a kick and/or ban from #PHXMovies

3. No Op Begging - Op begging is not permitted in #PHXMovies. Begging for Operators status will result in a kick and/or ban from #PHXMovies

4. No Serving Non-nAVI movies - Serving any other movies beside those released by SmR or PhX is not permitted in #PHXMovies. Serving ASF, VCD, MPG, or DIVX will result in a kick and/or ban from #PHXMovies

5. No Ratios - Ratios are not permitted in #PHXMovies. All movies are provided for free and are to be distributed freely. Setting ratios will result in a kick and/or ban from #PHXMovies

6. No Spamming - Spamming is not permitted in #PHXMovies. PHX has never and will never SPAM. Spamming includes advertising for other channels, advertising for websites, or advertising for anything not pertaining to #PHXMovies. Spamming will result in your permanent removal from #PHXMovies

7. No Requests - Requesting is not permitted in #PHXMovies. Requesting includes telling the channel what movie you wish you were downloading at the moment and any of the other more subtle forms of begging that you think you might be able to slip past our keen senses.

8. Kick Words - If the following words are typed or any variation of the following words you will be kicked. ASF, DIVX, TRADE, Kazaa, LimeWire, BearShare, Torrent(s), Newsgroups or SPEEDRACER. Repeated usage of kick words will result in a kick and/or ban from #PHXMovies

9. No Warez - Warez, Warez Requesting or Warez Serving is not permitted in #PHXMovies. This channel is for movies ONLY. Any of the actions listed above will result in a kick and/or ban from #PHXMovies

10. No Typing More Then Four Lines In 4 Seconds - Typing 4 lines in less then four seconds will result in your being kicked from #PHXMovies. Repeated offenses will result in your permanent removal from #PHXMovies

11. Do not ask how to make nAVI - asking encoding techniques or how nAVI is made. Asking how nAVI is made will result in your permanent removal from #PHXMovies

12. No Repeating - Repeating the same things over gets reather boresome and annoying...keep doing it and you will be kicked and/or banned from #PHXMovies

13. No !Triggers - Only /ctcp Triggers are permitted in #PHXMovies. Typing !Triggers will result in your being kicked from #PHXMovies. Repeated offenses will result in your permanent removal from #PHXMovies

14. No @Triggers Or @Locator - Only /ctcp Triggers are not permitted in #PHXMovies. @Triggers Or @Locator will result in your being kicked from #PHXMovies. Repeated offenses will result in your permanent removal from #PHXMovies







#PHXMovies SERVER RULES



Dedicated servers (+red nicks) can expect help in getting new releases. The following will outline steps to help you get the new releases ahead of the leeches (white nicks).



1. Serve only SmR and PhX movies...

We dont care what other channels your in, but we wont help you too much getting new stuff if your serving divx, asf, vcd, warez in other channels. If you choose to run 2 clients to do so, we won’t know, and won’t care.



2. Do so with some consistency ...

So many people come and go, don’t expect to serve for 1 hour and have us send you all the newest releases. Plan on that taking 2 weeks with at least a few hours serving each day.



3. Be helpful to new members in the channel ...

Servers should help new members by answering questions, guiding, etc. misinformation isn’t helpful, so know what your talking about. Abuse isn’t allowed, so don’t lead regs into getting kicked by telling them to type !trigger, say divx, trade, etc.



4. Follow the channel rules ...

Being voiced (serving) does not make it ok for you to break rules and use kick words at your leisure. It means that we expect that you know the rules and can be expected to follow them without being kicked for the occasional mistake. Most scripts will not kick voiced users; so you need to be appropriate, avoid flooding, etc.



5. Decvoice yourself.....

When having to shutdown or stop you server be considerate and in the channel type 'devoice me' in the channel to show that you are no longer serving. Being voiced without a server running will screw with the searchbots and will result in a kick and/or ban from #PHXMovies



Some things that will help you....



Admins (Blue nicks) monitor which fserve ads run in the channel, keeping track of how often the ads run.

Admins (Blue nicks) also monitor sends and check fserve content. Inappropriate content will result in kick/ban.

Keep your nick consistent so that tracking can be done accurately.

Don’t edit the fserve add or it can’t be tracked and you will be kicked/banned.

Don’t try to trick the tracking, the stats are compared against the logs and you will get kicked/banned.







If you say these words and are not a op(blue nick) / voice(red nick) you will be automatically kick/banned from the channel.
